Korean modern traditional fusion at Sydney upper north shore Hornsby - lunch specials

Soban restaurant at Hornsby Westfield is building up a good client base with its good value Korean lunch set meals and spread of BBQ meats for dinner with traditional wines.

Appetisers for sampling usually comprise assorted traditional kimchi, and modernised potato salad with mayonnaise and pumpkin soup.

Chicken and Vegetables with go chu jang (spicy bean sauce)

Chilli pork stir fry - very spicy (below)

There is live singing and music accompaniment on weekends adds to the pleasant and poetic atmosphere.

In comparison to a similar joint at Chatswood (not sure if the managements are related), the food and ambience of this Hornsby joint win hands down.
